Right now, I'm especially excited about our three-part online series on furniture preservation and conservation, which shares knowledge from historic sites, museum collections, and makers' legacies with a national audience. The next conversation, Wood and Water: Furniture on Long Island (August 12), uncovers the stories of Quaker joiners, Black makers, women upholsterers, Dutch turners, and Indigenous weavers, revealing how furniture shaped—and reflected—the region's diverse communities.
